Ads ~ Copywriting Samples
Since clients are often obliged to award all media advertising assignments
to their agency of record, freelancers seldom get a crack at them. That's a shame
— because after many years in an advertising agency creative group, it's
really fun to express brand messages in ways that catch the prospect's attention.
Here are a couple of examples.

"Don’t you wish your financial life were simpler?"
Waldron Wealth Management (2008)
When CEO John Waldron was named one of the top three independent financial
advisors in the U.S., Waldron Wealth Management created a series of newspaper
ads using themes from its new capabilities brochure (which I also wrote). Unlike
most ads by advisory firms, it avoids investment jargon and focuses on what clients
really want. |

"Trust"
Walker Information (2001)
Intangibles often make the difference between leaders and followers. In the
case of market research firm Walker Information, "trust" is not only what they
measure but also what they offer customers. A simple visual helped make the point
in this trade show ad. |
